Optional Integration Practices:

  1. Pay attention to how you react when someone vent's to you about a problem or is upset about something. Do you feel any pressure to offer a solution, or fix the situation for them? (This practice will give you insight into how you listen and help you develop awareness of opportunities in your day to day life to practice empathy and compassion.)
  2. Pay closer attention to the sensations in your body by practicing the following self-check in practice twice daily (or anytime you remember). Try not to judge what's coming up, rather make a note on your phone or in your journal about what you find. (This practice will help you develop more embodied awareness of your present moment experiences.)
    1. What sensations am I feeling in my body? (Tight, easy flow, quiet/neutral, queasy, pressure, warmth/heat, tingles, floating, shutting down, tension, etc.)
    2. Where am I feeling them? (Head, face, throat, chest, upper back/shoulders, gut/stomach, pelvic floor, legs, etc.)
