Day 1 Practices

Today's Objective: Connect with yourself/your partner, and lay the foundation for more open communication about sex and what turns you on.

Solo Practices:

  1. Write down one (or more) thing(s) you love or find sexy about your body. Give these parts a little love in your own way (self-touch, self-massage with oil or lotion, kisses, squeezes, loving words or thoughts). If you tend to judge your body and you find this difficult, identify one or more parts that give you pleasure. Close your eyes and focus on the sensation you feel as you touch and love these parts of you. Does it feel good? If not, what would make it feel better?
  2. Think of a favorite sexual fantasy or experience and re-live this a bit. Write about it in your journal, being as detailed as possible. What specifically about it turned you on the most? If you aren't really someone who fantasizes, or you struggle to conjure up a favorite memory, check out Dipsea - Do any of the stories/scenarios excite you? What specifically do you find hot?

Couples Practices:

  1. Take turns sharing three things you love/find sexy about about each other. As you receive your partner's appreciation, notice how it lands. Does it feel good to hear/receive, or is there something else you'd like to be seen/appreciated for? If so, let them know what would feel even better for you.
  2. Think of one favorite sexual experience each that you've had together. Share with each other, including what specifically about it turned you on the most. Re-live these sexy memories together!

Go Deeper:

Download my Sexy Conversation Cards and use those to inspire a more in depth reflection/conversation about sex.

Tomorrow we'll get into the importance of consent (whether this is you first or hundredth time having sex with someone). Don't worry, consent can be really sexy and freeing!
